1. Data controller

Simt Social is published by Quazar Media. For any question about your data: security@simt.app.

2. Scope

This notice describes the processing of data when you use the Simt Social social network (map, activities, profiles, RSVPs, comments, reports and the media attached to them). It does not cover the other SIMT products (the compass app, goto, and so on), which have their own notices.

3. Data we process

• Account and identity: the Firebase identifier, your Google email address, pseudonym, display name, declared roles, language preferences and consents (age, terms, community rules).
• Profile and activities: published or draft activities, RSVPs, comments, reactions, bookmarks, authorised activity announcements and optional activity images.
• Location: approximate areas for discovery; exact coordinates only when you publish, or when the activity's policy allows a reveal to the people concerned. Exact coordinates never appear in public feeds or in discovery.
• Safety and moderation: reports, moderation decisions that concern you, and administrative audit logs (restricted access).
• Technical data: aggregated, redacted operational logs (no user content in application logs).

Gender is optional, visible only to the account holder, with no default and no inference. It never enters discovery, ranking, advertising, analytics or automated moderation.

4. Purposes and legal bases

• Providing the service, authentication and account security (performance of the contract, legitimate interests).
• Publishing and joining activities (performance of the contract).
• Moderation, reporting and abuse prevention (legitimate interests, legal obligations).
• Meeting legal obligations and responding to authorities where the law requires it.

5. Processors

We rely in particular on:

• Google Firebase — Google authentication and session tokens.
• Cloudflare — Worker hosting, the D1 database, media storage and network protection.

Transfers outside the EU/EEA, where they occur, rely on the applicable contractual guarantees (standard clauses, adequacy decisions or equivalent measures).

6. Retention

• Exact coordinates: erased on terminal state transitions or when the account is deleted.
• Abandoned drafts and media: up to 30 days without modification.
• Deleted content: hidden immediately; permanently deleted within 30 days unless a legal obligation or a moderation record requires longer.
• Evidence of a closed report: up to 12 months after closure.
• Administrative audit log: up to 24 months.

7. Your rights

You have the rights of access, rectification, erasure, restriction, objection and portability within legal limits. Deleting your Simt Social account does not erase the Firebase identity shared with the other SIMT services. To exercise your rights: security@simt.app. You may lodge a complaint with the competent supervisory authority (the CNIL in France).

8. No sale and no targeted advertising

We do not sell your personal data. Simt Social does not use your social graph or your location for advertising purposes at launch.

9. Changes

We may update this notice. The date at the top of the page identifies the version in force. Substantial changes will be brought to your attention in the product where required.
